In 2013, the U.S. EPA finalized the National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for all new and existing boilers and process heaters. Boilers that emit more than 10 tons per year (TPY) of an individual hazardous air pollutant (HAP) or more than 25 TPY of combined HAPs are considered a major source, and other boilers are considered area sources. The NESHAP has established clear emission limits and guidelines for work practice standards such as energy assessments, periodic tune ups and demonstration of continuous compliance.
As U.S. DOE Qualified Steam and Process Heating Specialists, our engineers can provide consulting services for:
- Boiler MACT compliance requirement analysis
- Energy assessments
- EPA-compliant energy assessment report
- Periodic tune-ups
- Implementation evaluation with economics for an oxygen trim system
